Gentlemen, I'm looking at 2002 ZO6 with 45000 miles. It is modded with a Black Hawk intake,LG headers,Boarla exhaust,Bear brakes, Hurst shifter. It also has new tires and a new clutch. The guy said he would let it go for 20K. it has been for sale for some time. Am I Missing somthing? It seems like a fair price. What should I be looking for?
Sounds like a good price if everything checks out. Might want to have her inspected by a pro or let us know where you live...maybe someone from here can go have a looksee with you.
Seems like a killer deal. Maybe he's getting desperate to sell.
Expensive mods, doesn't sound like any corners were cut... have a GM dealership out it on a lift and check it out for you if you can't find anyone else.
I think that is a genuine bargain if everything checks out OK. You will be getting a world-class sportscar with prolly around 390rwhp and a few thousand $$ in mods for $20K. That's a ludicrous performance/dollar ratio...
My .02. Sounds good, but 45k mi and a new clutch/ change of shifter makes me think its been drag raced more than a few times. There is nothing wrong with drag racing the car, if its done correctly, not beat on, and has been maintained. See if you can take it for a test ride with someone in your area that is somewhat familiar with these cars, or is an avid drag racer. Look for: hard to shift into third, bent shift forks, strange noise from the rear, among other things. Good luck, hope it all works out and you get that car at a great price.

New clutch at 45k with those mods?
At the same time, if it drives good and the carfax is clean, go for it. Maybe the guy can't drive stick very well.
As for the price. I paid $21k for an '03 Z06 about 3 months ago. 40k miles with B&B exhaust only. So I would say for guys that want to sell, he is in the right ball park.
