I detailed through high school and college and now work at a body shop so I know my way around waxes, polishes, and sealants. I find it hard to believe that any coating can last/provide protection for a full year. The amount of wax that you can apply is so thin that it would be impossible to have something that is basically maintenance free. I don't buy it myself and think that it is just a fairly durable wax or paint sealant.
It would be good to hear from somebody that maybe worked at Ziebart or has/had Diamond Gloss on their car. To the OP: I think it would be like saying the car is freshly waxed. Nothing to make or break the deal in my opinion.
Gimmick! I once worked at a dealership long ago as a kid who sold that stuff.Know what you got? A sticker on the window. They didnt even put it on the cars! They used to charge like 500 bucks which was high back then!
