Bought a 2004 A4 Coupe with 15K miles about one year ago for $20,800. To me, that seemed like a fair price.

No way I'm paying some pie-in-the-sky price.

IMHO, there are 2 main criteria in finding a good buy:
#1 - Don't be in a big hurry
#2 - Find a motivated seller

I found my nassau blue 2000 frc with 47k miles on it for $14,800... here in atlanta prices are still a little higher than surrounding areas, but they are not moving cars very fast either

FWIW, I picked this on up in Tampa and it needs some general maint. and a little TLC. Clean title and paint.

A guy called me last week about a set of wheels I had for sale on craigslist, he said he picked up a torch red 99 coupe for $6,900 with 120k miles
I do not know the condition but I do know the stock wagon wheels which were chrome had been JB WELDED to hold air. I wanna say from a crack.
so I take it that this car had been abused but who knows

More details!! Thats too cheap to pass

To the OP, do a search on Autotrader for "any distance" 97-04 vettes, then go to the last page, you'd be suprised at how low they are right now. I bought mine in Dec 06' and granted its still "worth" $17.5/18k (with someone wanting the way it sits now) there are better deals out there.

My apologies, no 2005 C5 but have seen them advertised alongside a 2004 Maroon coloured 2003 anniversary model.

One seller says he bought his C5 new in 2005 so it's a 2005 as far as he's concerned.

And just because they are going cheap where you live does'nt mean they are'nt keeping their prices elsewhere.
I would expect to pay more in Florida than, say, Chicago.

This is one of the sites I used.

Right you are. My screen didn't open up far enough to the right to see the price. But it did say $11,777 in their newspaper ad. I bet they got a lot of calls.
