obsessiovley ?
wtf is obsessiovley?
Me thinks someone has a 'closet' cleaning fetish.......
not at all, i just think it's a retarded waste of time to spend countless hours cleaning.
i get cars i like detailed once or twice a year and bring em to the carwash every so often. more often in the winter as i drive any car i own year round in all weather.
take em to the track (drag if you dont wanna really race), drift them, just beat em up!
is it really that fun just knowing you have a decade old car under a cover or in the garage???

So,I like to keep my Vette clean, and you like to beat the f**k out of yours--
To my way of thinking, that doesn't make either one of us retarded,or a loser,we just treat our cars differently.
Since this thread really isn't about how much fun it is to race dirty Corvettes, maybe you should consider starting your own thread about that subject.
I'm sure you're not alone on this forum ,there are probably quite a few others who feel the same way you do-But you're not going to find them in this particular thread..

Doesn't matter how old any nice car is. I drive the hell out of mine and keep it clean and mechanically maintained. Yes it's a 97, but it still looks great and to me that's half the fun.
I'm home all of 12 days after a year here in the sand & rock pile prior to heading to where it's wet and green for another year.
I got a great wife. She said 'let's do a road trip' for 3 days. Shocked I said 'what?'. She said she knows it's the only way I'd spend time with her if it's with her and the Vette. Looks like a good road trip to me!!!
My wife tells me that I have the same sickness. If you would see her car you would understand why she thinks people like us are sick in the head. I will sometimes wash hers and there's no telling what you may pull from under the seats or in the door pockets. Her idea of detailing is to buy a new air freshener. She once tossed away the rubber insert in her cup holder because the drink that was in it was there for so long that all became one. So when she put the drink in the trash, it all went because she didn't realize that it had molded together. I had to order her new ones from GM. I got ten bucks and some Gorilla Glue that it'll never happen again. She's been on me for the last couple weeks to drop the insurance on the Vette into storage mode. I keep telling her that I have to detail it one more time before I put it away so it's now been a couple weeks since I last washed it because I feel like as soon as I do, it'll be gone for the winter. She said, "but you detail it all winter." No, in the summer I detail. I like to think of winter as the long detail. This is the same woman that I had to put a bicycle flag on my lawnmower so she would hit it pulling into the garage. But we have a sickness!!!
It may be just a car, but it gets driven daily and washed almost as often. This includes the inside of the wheels. It is black and looks like crap in dirt.
