Dang, that's hard to look at. But it looks like it protected you well. Very glad you weren't hurt! Coulda been so much worse...tough break for sure.
Heck, if it runs okay, strip all the damaged panels off, replace as cheaply as possible and build a track or autocross car. Hope you get into another soon......back on that horse.
Am glad you are OK and will mend in time. Most of our head's are hard so that should heal much before your ego and pocket book do.
I had it happen to me on the first vette I bought back in 1982. It was a 1981 Red C3 and the day I bought it, a co-worker of mine and I hit the road.
About 18 hours later on the side of a mountain in Arkansas, I fell asleep. I woke up doing down a ditch and then 'yanked' the steering wheel which threw me around and ended up hitting a culvert. Fortunately neither of us were hurt. But my pride, ego and pocket book took serious hits but finally recovered. It was a potentially deadly and costly "error in judgement". Live and learn.
Glad you seem okay. How did you hit your head? Didn't your air bag go off? If your head still hurts you should get it checked out to make sure you are okay. Heads are not designed to take hits like that. Sounds like you hit hard enough to have some sort of short term memory loss.
Have you gone back to the scene to try and figure out what happened?
Hope you feel better and everything works out for you.

I hit my head on the roof and the side window I think.. and im 6'2" so i was a little closer to the roof..
I had x-rays done on my head and my back the night of the crash, they found nothing, just a hard hit.. and I always thought the whole 'memory loss' thing was over exaggerated.. now I dont cause I do
Wow...it sucks seeing her wrecked like that. Glad your OK. Were your tires worn-out to make you loose control? My tires are getting down there and hearing that yours broke loose at 50 MPH concerns me.

Thats one thing I did not mention.. the rear tires on mine were original from 99.. considering my car only had 51k miles.. The police said they were pretty dry..
Sad thing is I was about to upgrade the rears to 305's.. because I knew they were old.. dont know if that was the major factor, but yes everyone check your tires

Oh, I forgot to mention. I had called my insurance person while I was at the car dealership to confirm my coverage. It was a new policy with a new/different company and it was on a Saturday.
I even offered if there was a doubt in her mind that I would drive the car directly home and park it until Monday, just to be safe
Also, I asked her point blank at least three times do I have coverage. She assured me all three times 'yes' I had coverage
Guess what ??
When I called to report the accident on Monday, the insurance person had not submitted the paperwork and the underwriter did the denial thing. Talk about a kick in the butt and a kick in the butt. Long story, but it was a HASSLE or HASSLEs.
man I feel for you , put my wifes car in a ditch and dont remember a thing about the wreck. I remember messiig with the nav system then climbing up out of the passenger window, car was on drivers side. I had a nice black eye and big lump on my head. I could not bring myself to take pics of the car , it was her baby. It has been replaced though.
