If you like the auto and red, that's all that matters.
Gears are a big item imo. 3:15's are much better.
I'd be a lot happier at 20k.
Good luck.

It sounds like you did a lot of homework before the buy, kudos. Read the sticky threads in C5 General to learn a bunch of stuff you'll want to know about these fabulous cars. Don't hesitate to ask questions, we were all newbies once.

Congrats again and don't forget to wave!
Thanks! Yes--the wave is now a regular occurance.. Drove down the Coast to La Jolla Sunday--I think I waved about 50 times!! (great weather)...

I'm amazed at how kids, teens, motorcyclists--heck, just about everyone--makes kind comments or gives the

Quite often it's people you would not expect...

I was giving my Vette a detail-spray in the driveway yesterday. 2 local kids (around 10 yrs old) suddenly appeared in my driveway (I had not noticed them approach). I did recognize them--they live down the block..

These kids said "we love Corvettes--can we see yours?"... Wow--I was blown-away: these boys have never said a word to me in the past... Their Dad also came over & I proceeded to proudly show them all the car...

Is it possible to like my Vette too much?

Congrats on your new ride. Looks like you got a great car, and at a fair price.

I also get visits from all the local kids in the neighborhood whenever I take my car out on the driveway for some TLC...I love letting the young kids ooh and ahh all over it. Then I usually take it for a quick spin and give em some growl from the exhaust as I go by...
