I went through this same thing last summer. The side pieces are held on with a #6 sheet metal screw with a washer head, and it's a 6MM socket to remove the original air dam. I'd get Gene Culley to sent you to new one, (I have a extra set because GM is more than likely going to discontinue the production if nor already) The c-clip that holds it up is a (Machine screw) clip but it was never corected. I wrote to Corvette/Enthusiast magazine and I submitted it to their tach folks and It is published in this months issue, Feb 2010. But what i found out as to the side air damn is that over time the corner sags. I even went so far as to have two alumium side surpports fashioned and was going to install them what i found out that the parts A small C-clip and the corresponding bolt/screw where totally different acourding to the current GM parts cataloge so i assume this problem is a small issue as wa over-looked by the engineers?
Now having said that, Chris Petris wrote back and upon seeeing my problem with two totally different fasteners, looked up the 'Correct' part numbers. I was using part# 19310412 & 19310413 which are the correct # as Right and left air dams. But he provided the fasteners as #11515638 & 11515757. This is i believe is the correct part numbers But I have yet to try to install them. And as far as getting a air dam support part, forget it. Their made out of cheap plastic, and couldn't how up a sheet of printing paper from your computer printer.
