speedometer cluster
Thought my speedsensor was bad on my 99 C5. Mechanic just called and and said the speedometer cluster is bad. Anyone have any ideas on what my next step is to getting the speedometer working. Any way to buy a cluster cheaper than sending it off to get get repaired at GM? Anyway of fixing it myself? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've seen stock speedo clusters sell here (in the for sale section) for ~$150 all the time.
might be a lot quicker and easier to just put a new cluster in.
There's a write up as well on swapping in the electronics so that the miles are correct too.
