With having a 67 I usually spend most my time hanging out on the C2 forums. I wanted to share the post I had on there with some more info on how to help out the troops. Check out some of the sites when you get a chance. You never know, that package, letter or card you send to someone may just be the boost or helping hand they need at that given time with something they are struggling with. It's the least we can do.

K2,
This may have been the post you were talking about sending supplies to the troops:
http://www.stovebolt.com/features/fe...ers/index.html
This one was posted originally by CF member builder who has been a GREAT advocate here on the forum for getting supplies to troops.

I will be talking with a buddy in our club later today and he has a son serving that is a chaplain. I'll get some info from him. Here's a list of sites that may help. Also if someone else has a site please post it.

Quick story, one of our club's family members we were sending to mentioned he had a couple buddies in his unit that NEVER got a package from home. Although most of the guys would share what they got with others he said it was pretty sad for those 2 when mail was pasted out. Unfortunately they just didn't have the family/friends support many of our other guys and gals do. One of the other family members told us how they lost their generator for about 3 weeks that would help cool down there barracks, this was when it was over 110. They had no way of getting any relief from the heat during that time. We get pretty comfortable in our way of life and sometimes forget the conditions our troops have to live in day in and day out. If we can give them some sort of relief or comfort for a few minutes a day with supplies or books to read it's the least we can do. How many times have we all wasted $12 (the cost for sending a package) on trivial stuff. If you don't know of someone that is serving that could use supplies please try to get in contact with someone locally or online that you can help out. Our troops don't discriminate, they help each and every one of us so we can live a better life. PLEASE HELP OUT!!

There is also a link on the one below to send to, anymarine, anyairman, anysailor and anycoastguard.

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE SERVING TO KEEP US SAFE!! YOU ARE ALL IN OUR THOUGHTS!!

Hi Keith,

My family and I live in Bahrain and I'm sure you guys get some R and R here.

Anyone interested in Christmas lunch and a party next day will be made more than wellcome.

We were in Saudi during the first and second push and looked after a LOAD of you your comrades, our distinct pleasure.

As an aside, my wifes mom phoned one evening to ask how we were with the scuds flying over and all,
we were surrounded by 40 plus soldiers and their weapons at the time, never felt safer

You are all doing a great job on our behalf.
Keep safe,
David.

P.S. I'm a Brit but please don't let that put you off
