The Anniversary Edition (1SC car) was only available in 1 color.
If you don't have 1SC on your build sheet you just have a Vette built for the 2003 production year.
As an owner of a first round 50th I'm a tad bit biased though.
We had this same discussion many times in the fall of '02.
Glad to see some things never change.
I never refer to my '03 Z06 as an anniversary Vette. It's just

Correct me if I'm wrong, is 2003 the 50th Anniversary for the Corvette or not? If it is, that would make all 2003 Corvette's, 50th Anniversary cars. I grant you that the 1SC may be the designation for the special 50th Anniversary trim package.

That is correct, sir!

Thank you.
I bought my '03 about 4 months ago, with 8k miles on it from the dealer that special ordered it. I would like to think it is a one of a kind. It is an all numbers matching car with an LS6 + special suspension, brakes etc. It is also an automatic.
I love this car, almost as much as I love my '08 Z.
No, it's not an official Z06. It just was ordered like one, except it's an automatic, coupe. Those are the only differences from a Z06.
My wife didn't realize what we had. But, now that she knows, and now she won't let me drive that car either. I bought it so I could keep the miles low on the Z. I guess i'll have to shop around for another one.

My '03 is MY, but has the badging on the fenders. Don't see that very often.
Quite a few folks added the fender badges. In my opinion they are much better looking than the hood and deck lid badging they put on all '03 cars. The hood and deck lid emblems look cheap... and I'm sure they were.

You are very right John! The factory emblems were one of the worst mistakes GM did with the '03 Vette. The paint on silver emblems rub off in no time. I have changed my emblems three times. I now have a set of the fender badges on my hood and deck lid. They look great and never change color. The bonus being that all emblems now match.
I had tried the chrome emblems but the plastic insignias turned yellow after a year or so. The fender badges work and look great as replacements. I wish I would have thought of it years ago.

You couldn't get an LS6 auto in a coupe from the factory. Did the dealer/previous owner do an engine swap?

If the dealer did an engine swap, how could the numbers match, and if it is a dealer install on a new car, would that be an extension of the factory? Someone wanted a Z06 coupe with an automatic, but in doing so, it's no longer a Z06, it's just a modified car.
Did they make the anniversary corvete in any other color other than the burgandy red?
Thanks for pissing in the Corn Flakes.
A few here get there speedo's in a knot when you talk about the 50th Anniversary Edition cars. All I know is I have a 2003 Blue Corvette. It was made 50 years after the first Corvette was made. It has anniversary emblems all over it, but I can't call it an Anniversary car.
