Yep, you need to drop the sway bar and small, passenger-side gas tank shield on an A4 to get the proper clearance. Only need to drop the sway bar on a manual.

Yes - in fact, I often get the undercarriage dirtier just by touching it without gloves. Actually, Carole's car gets dirty due to the dd role it plays but I always take the opportunity to clean it up whenever I get it on the lift for mods or maintenance.

All you have to do is loosen the bolts holding the sway bar in place and swing it down - then you can unbolt the exhaust and install the Ti system. You just need to get the car up in the air high enough to swing the pipes over the rear axles.
