I went to Napa and bought a serpantine & a/c belt because mine looked pretty cracked. I removed the 2 and when I put the a/c belt on it was to long and the tensioner was maxed out back. In comparing the new & old it looked to be about an inch longer. The serp belt looked to be 2 inches longer so I left the a/c belt off and put back the old serp belt. I will return them tomorrow. Any body have a problem with sizing? I see auto zone has rhe gatorbacks for about a total of $10. less.
Make sure you take your old belts in with you. They have a tool that measures the actual length of the belt. Normally a used belt is at least a tiny bit longer then is was when new, so keep that in mind.
OMG I'm a F'*king idiot. I totally forgot I had the ASP under drive pulleys.
I'm going back with the old belts but I got the equivalant #'s from the ASP website. Thanks for the help

Got the right belts now and the redness is going away in my face. Now to get the damn thing on . Holeee sheet it is a PIA for that a/c belt . I already have removed my first dermal level at the right wrist and struggled for >1 hr still no luck getting it on. The serp belt is a piece of cake though.
Yea I don't see corvette listed. I wonder how those belts hold up at 6500 rpm's?
On another note I finally got the a/c belt on. It took me all of 5 minutes after I jacked up the car and was able to get a good shot from underneath. It went on EASY!. All I used was a 15mm hand wrench from the bottom side and I was able to crank that sucker all the way . Belt popped on and I was able to visualize the belt placement to all of the pulley's. Bottom side is the only way to do it.
Another lesson learned the hard way
Here's another trick you can try sometime, although I must say I've never tried this with anything other then V-belts.
Once I'm sure I have the correct replacement belts in my hands (verified through part numbers), and without loosening the adjustment bolts, I take a knife and cut the old belts off.
Next I start with the belt closest to the engine and place it over the crank pulley and then wedge it as far as it will go over whatever accessory it is driving. Hook up a bump starter and bump the engine until the belt seats itself.
You never need to loosen the adjustment bolt and the belts are on in a flash.
