The OP may have asked a moderator close the thread.... I'm an administrator / moderator on a web site and I always give a reason for closing a thread. "closed by request of original poster"... "Violation of _____ rule", doing this makes sure that members don't think that it was close on a whim, or an over zealous moderator.
