The lighter color interior looks very nice with the LeMans Blue exterior, as well as being cooler during hot weather.

We had a '92 before this CE C5. You'll LOVE the change, CE or other C5

Here's a couple pics of our 'Vert.

What I find interesting in this thread is that the primary thing that makes the CE so distinctive is the Shale Dash yet no one shows it in their pics? It looks so much better IMO than the black.

Ironically, this was one of the things I wasn't so sure about when I first looked at mine... a brownish dashboard.. But it definately grew on me!

i own a CE convertible. they came pretty much loaded with options as part of the model. the only option choices to add were body side moldings and selectable magnetic ride. it was the only color combination i wanted when i went looking for a C5. i don't have my black book with me at work, but that details the differences and the actual production model amounts. it is a "commemorative" edition because it was produced to celebrate the le mans victories the previous year. in addition to the unique color combination, they also have special badging detailing the le mans campaign, etc.

Available in each of the 3 trim options. Pretty much the same for each of it's non CE trim. Like CE Z06 had same power as the non CE Z06. The CE Z06 has a carbon fiber hood which no other stock C5 came with. But other then that and other appearance and special emblems it's just like the other C5's but fully loaded. They are nice cars and as with any of the pace cars or other anniversary editions like the 2003 50th, the owners of them love them very much and they are highly sought after. I'm not saying they are worth thousands more necessarily but they are nice cars.

If you are looking at one or for one then good luck and go for it if it looks good. If you are just inquiring and it's not really a requirement for you then just look for the best condition C5 you can afford.

I was in the market for a C6 coupe last year when I happened to see a Lemans Blue CE coupe. For me, that was all it took. I shopped for months before I found my CE Coupe in Virginia. Bought the car. Have won a few awards at shows with it. It is, as stated, relatively rare.
(6000 out of a production run of 33000 is "rare" in my book). My wife and I have driven this car from Virginia to Minnesota to Wyoming and like all its features very much. Incidentally, our car was ordered with the Z51 suspension option which makes it better yet.
Best wishes in your hunt for the car that's right for you.

Along with the 03 Aniv. these two are the only C5 that do not have a Black Dash and personally I love it ! Also from the day I bought it I was able to get "collector" ins. because they considered it a "collector item" Full coverage no limits I pay $400.00 a year.
