Default Dash Light

Forgive my ignorance, as I cannot find a thread on it, BUT what lights up our dashes? mini bulbs, leds, etc....

It's two black lights. There is one on the left and one in the right. If you look at the dash from the passenger's side, you will notice the lexian/plastic clear plastic cover of the gauges glow a bit also.

Hmm interesting...is it possible that they dim over time or can one go out? Dash just doesn't seem as bright as it used to. Maybe it's me though......

They do go out. If one of them went out, you wouldn't be able to see either the left part of the gauges at night or the right I would say. Mine don't light up, or reflect light, in the middle of the gauges between my RPM's and the speedometer as well as they do in the oil, fuel, amps, and temp gauges.

Not to be a smartazz, but have you adjusted the dash light intensity **** on the left of the dash (in the pic below it's the round **** on the left of the steering wheel just under the HUD DISPLAY adjuster). If you have, never mind.

The metal Bezel rings can cause shadows also, if you have them installed.
