A semi truck damaged the roof badly (the trailer tried to give it a haircut). When got the insurance money and the car back, he did a conversion. It looks factory, really clean job.
One of the members of my Corvette club when I lived in FL had one.
The company that did his was based in Florida. I can't remember the name of the company or where it was located, but they in fact did the Z06 convertible transition. The owner of this particular Z06 Vert always put a sign (disclaimer) on the windshield whenever he went to shows or parked it along with other Vettes to let everyone know that in fact it was a Z06. It was black in color with black top. A really unique and beautiful ride.
"One of only 10 made..." Yeah, but made by whom? Not GM.
I once owned a 20th Anniversary Turbo T/A that was sold by GM, by the compnay that made the 1,555 production run of the car was called PAS Inc. I don't think this Z06 was a GM sponsered build though...
I was going to say its a good clone because they actually painted the calipers and put red frcs on it along with the brake ducts, but the vin decodes to a Z. I remember reading about a conversion somewhere.
