solar battery tender
hi,Has anyone tried using a solar battery tender on their corvette.I have my 98 Corvette stored in a garage that has no electric.If you have used one of these tenders,what kind did you use?Thanks for any info.

Dude. 9 posts in 2 years? That's some kinda lurking you've got going on.
Go with a plugged in tender. Several cloudy days in a row may leave you stranded, and put a strain on your battery by draining it too low.

You haven't filled out your profile so I don't know what climate you have. What may work in NV or TX may not work in ND or VA
I have used one which I think I picked up at Walmart on special. I used to plug it into the truck cigar lighter if I was leaving it at the airport for any length of time. Mind you it was Las Vegas so I could guarantee sun to charge it. All I can say is it always started. Other than testing the voltage across the terminals there's no real indication of how far its topped off the battery, unlike a battery tender that gives a red to green light indication when its topped off.
