68vette exhaust
why won't my 68 vette start after replacing entire exhaust system. Had headers Changed to stock manifold & EXHAUST

Does it turn over or just not do anything when you turn the key?

Maybe the wires on the starter were not rerouted / reconnected properly.
Might want to ask a moderator to move this to C2 tech for you. You posted it in the C5 section.

A 68 would be the C3 section

68 & 69 almost the same,,,68 the first year of C3. Just for the record that year was just Corvette,,the 1 word stingray returned for 69!! My guess would also be starter wires too!!

it turns over for about 4 0r 5 times then dies like I have a weak battery. Installed new battery & it acts the same

I would bet it's a bad ground connection

I have had this happen to my 68 during my 22 years of ownership. The exhaust system should have nothing to do with it. If anything, it would've eliminated starter heat soak from the headers. I had to install a high-torque mini starter after getting headers.
