I just went into my garage and heard a noise coming from my 2001 Z06.
(the car is off and keys out of the ignition)
It sounds like a buzzer going off somewhere in or behind the glove compartment. It went off after a few minutes.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be???

Did it happen before you turned the car off or after?
I think your battery is almost dead. It happened on mine, and it was very low. The relays start clicking/chirping, and the door locks stared to lock/unlock by themself.

That may be it. My car wouldn't start the other day, the battery was too weak.............Thanks for the info.
Theres a relay in the passenger footwell area that chatters when the battery is low. Its not quite a buzzer but I'm sure thats it.
If you have a lead acid battery you may get away with an overnight charge. If it's a Red Top (AGM) you've probably killed it already. Once batteries start to go it may just be better to replace it. Theres a constant drain on the C5. You might want to consider a battery tender if the car's not a daily driver.
