Snow sucks...

You southern people amuse us northerners.
Those pictures you posted.... that's not even considered snow, or even "winter weather conditions" for that matter. If that was here we'd be operating like it was any other day. We have piles of snow in our parking lots 10'-15' tall from the plow trucks. there is a 5' wall of snow along the side of every road. See the way your car is parked along the street in your picture? You couldn't even do that here because there is 5' of snow right there.
You guys just are not prepared for it. You don't have the equipment to spread the salt and sand around so as soon as you get a little ice on the roads, combined with the fact none of you know how to drive on it, it's mayhem.
In any event, i'm glad you and your car are in 1 piece.

Yeah, but we all really good at getting hit by tornados, so there!
Yeah did enough of that winter-snow type of driving out west for years. Can't imagine driving the Vette in that. They say we may even get flurries tonight or in the morning in FL!

They will be $200 but will pretty much work in 90% of the cases.
Kit includes:
(4) bags of coarse pool filter sand.
Instructions included with kit:
1) Open (1) bag and liberaly spread a layer on the flat approach to the incline.
2) Open (1) bag and more lightly spread a layer over the rest of the incline.
3) Place (2) (unopened) bags in the rear hatch/trunk area.
4) Start vehicle
5) A4 in D2 M6 in 2
6) Attempt to attain sufficient velocity (but not more than 15 mph) on flat area to carry vehicle through inclined portion of intended route (and this is the trickey part) but no further than the intended stopping point

I live on a steeper than average hill, with a tight left into my driveway, which then goes downhill to the parking area, which then goes uphill to the garage.
So needless to say, if its snowing here, mine stays in the garage :-)
just having a little fun
Aint that the truth. My 4Runner came with Michelins, when they were worn I replaced them with Bridgestones (looked up the reviews on Tire Rack, and the Bridgestones got better reviews). Truck used to handle snow/rain like a tracked vehicle (never a problem), now it could be described as "squishy". Definitly not as confident.Oh well, live and learn. Ill be putting the Michelins back on next set. Tires are probably the most important factor in how any vehicle performs.

I just can't even image what it's like for you guys. I feel for you. Be careful.
