Z06+snow=FTL. I did a 450 degree spin going straight, fishtailed into oncoming lanes multiple times, and I couldn't get into the driveway so I had to build up enough speed to slide into the grass and I still didn't get my car all the way out of the road...
Don't say that to my wife!! She's a teacher,,and is now in a second consecutive SNOW DAY off from school!! Glad you and your car survived your dilemma,,but up here,,in general things don't get quite as dramatic. Snow, slush and ice are not at all uncommon and we are more adapted to driving in it.Regard less,,if you get caught in an unexpected incident it can REALLY raise the pucker factor!!Glad EVERYTHING and you came out OK!!
Sorry man, glad you and the car are OK, but I will never undersand why someone would drive a corvette on snow and ice?? If you have to do it, then you should have a seperate set of rims and tires, specifically for winter driving, narrower wheels and tires, studs, Blizzaks, etc. These cars are just not winter friendly drivers.

I was at work when it started snowing. When it was time to go home, it was in full blast.
You guys down South just don't get enough practice driving in the white stuff .
I was going to say the same thing, it amazes me how much better those that experience snow on a regular basis can navigate in it vs those that don't...
I'm in Northern Illinois and my Vette is a daily driver, we had 10+ inches of snow yesterday on top of what ever was already down, and the Vette is still out once most of the snow on the streets is removed and it's no longer a fancy plow...
Glad you’re OK. A guy in my neighborhood the other day wasn't so lucky. He slid into a tractor trailer and he didn't survive.

High speed and bad weather are being blamed for a deadly crash on interstate 90. It happened just before 4:30 this afternoon in the eastbound lanes near the Fairview exit. According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, 51 year old David Griffin was killed instantly when the Corvette he was driving slammed into the back of a tractor trailer. The semi had reportedly been pulled over by State Police. Shortly after that, Griffin's car approached at a high rate of speed and collided with the truck. It's believed Griffin was from the Rochester, New York area."

We're having the worst Winter since the 80s. This pic from the BBC shows how bad it is. This may be a unique picture with the whole country covered in snow. -22 Celsius last night in the Highlands of Scotland.
yyyuuuuppp that was me this morning, managed to keep it on the road tho. had a reaaalll hard time last friday with freezing temps and a thin layer of fresh snow, thought for sure i wouldn't make it back but the traction control prevailed.
glad you made it without incident or contact. oh and nice pipes btw
