About 30 minutes ago, I was out running an errand about 1/2 mile from my turn off, I noticed a car aproaching rapidly. When it did, it was a newer red T/A with a younger guy (18 or so) in it. He downpoopiefed and blip'ed the gas and let the sound of his aftermarket exhaust be the indicater he wanted to run em. I downshifted into 3rd (we are going about 45) and decided to go passed my turn and have a little fun since there was no one on this particular street. Hearing me downshift, he punched his and then I punched mine. By the time I shifted into 4th (the traction control actually came on) I had several car lengths on him. I am assuming he let off a bit earlier.
I slowed down for him to catch up and rolled down my passenger window. He has a smile on his face from ear to ear. He said, "That is awsome!!" He asked what year it was and I told him 2001. He then said, "The 385hp?" and I said yep. I told him his car is pretty nice too. He said he is going to do a little more to it. So I assume he had something else aftermarket besides his mean sounding exhaust. I then turned to head back to where I was originally going.
The smile on his face and the excitment in his voice made me feel great to own this car.
Just thought I would share the effect owning a Z has on others.
It's kind of hard to tell which one of the two, was more excited. :)
I've seen Z06 run uphere. One of the fastest stock Z06 I saw run between 13.3-13.5 range. Altitude 5800' Bandimere Speedway, Morrison Colorado. Just 10 minutes west of Denver. Good for low to mid 12's at sea-level. :smash:

I heard they were going to bulldoze this track. Any truth to that?
