I had a '99 a couple of years ago and had the Borla Stingers put on it. I loved the deep and throaty start up and idle, but not the drone. I sold it, bought a '71 and kept it for awhile and am now in the process of having an 01 shipped in from out of state. I've listened to as many of the youtube sounds that I can and have a simple request with hopefully a simple answer. Is it possible to have the wonderful sound of the meaty, beefy Borla - without the drone? I don't like the higher pitched Corsa. I know what I like, but I can't seem to find the marriage between a Borla and a Corsa. Has anything changed in the past few years since my last Borla headache?
Similar setup in my car. Decent sized cam, Kooks LT's and offroad x-pipe, no cats and Borla single tip Stingers. The drone tends to be at it's worst when in 6th gear and humming along at 65-70mph. If I want to make it more quiet I use 5th gear instead of 6th when cruising at this speed. I love the Stingers and wouldn't change them for anything currently on the market.
First of all, the pre-cats in the 01 exhaust setup will tone down the Borlas a bit. I've heard that installing an X-pipe will tame the remaining (slight) drone as well. I don't have an X-pipe but the drone is not bad at all.
Ive got headers, and Borlas with an x pipe. I only get a very slight drone at about 1700Rpm. Goes away about 1800 or so. Not a big deal at all. Love them.

Thanks for the input. I will probably go with the Borla Stingers - check out the drone with the 01 pre-cats. If not pleased, then try the x-pipe.
I have an 02 MN6 with that is pretty much stock save for blackwing, x-pipe and borla stingers. The only time I can hear a resonance/drone is if I lug the motor in 6th gear going up an incline. But even then it is not very noticable and not bothersome....my run-flat tires are much noisier.

You should check out Corsa Extremes. They are a new version of Corsa. Nice deep sound. Not like other Corsas
I checked Corvettes of Houston and they had the Xtreme Cat-Back Exhaust System (including x-pipe) for $1249 plus $50 shipping. I couldn't find any place cheaper. Anyone know of a better source?
Check out YouTube and search Corvette C5 exhausts. There are a TON of clips on there showing various exhausts. I have the Corsa Indy Pace Car, sounds great with no droning whatsoever! Isn't the loudest exhaust out there but rumbles quietly at idle and screams when you stomp on it!
