Default Consecutive VIN #s

Has anyone ever tried to find the VIN before and after theirs on the forum? I think it would be cool to see how long a string of consecutive numbers could get.

You'll need to add the year for them to really be consecutive.

Tried to log into the registry but it does not work.

It's been a while, but I do remember at least several threads where the poster was looking to see if member on the forum had a car with a VIN close to his. Don't think the poster had too much luck with that.

I could not login either. Nor could I sort by the VIN #. No consecutive # to my car as far as I could tell.

Two (2) years ago I tried to entice '01 Z06 VIN numbers as part of some research into finding any correlation between production dates and excessive oil consumption. Got 44 that were across the production year but with that small sampling ( over 5000 2001 Z06es produced), there were no partterns. Of coarse since then I've uncovered the actual cause to the affect ( nothing to do with a 2001 M/Y production timeline).
