Default Replace seat belt buckle

I've tried multiple searches and haven't had any luck, so I figured I'd just ask. Is there a procedure anywhere for removing the passenger seat belt buckle without pulling out the whole seat? The plastic surround for my reciever cracked and broke off. I bought a replacement buckle but can't figure out how to get to the bolt that holds the buckle in without removing the seat.

I'd rather not go to the trouble of removing the seat, disabling the airbag, etc. TIA!

Why would you have to disable the airbag to remove the seat

You'll need to remove the seat to access the 18mm bolt holding on the receptacle side of the seat belt. Pretty easy to do.

Hey man, removing the seat is very easy and doesn't take long at all. There is no need to disable the air bag. Put the seat all the way back and remove the front bolts (nuts), then move the seat forward and remove the rear ones. Wala, disconnect the electrical connector and out with the seat. Might take 15 minutes the first time you do it.

I have experienced the same failure mode of my driver's seat belt receptacle. Seems like the spring failed and the release button is full inward, so buckle will not lock. Found this thread, but...

I cannot identify any nuts on/around the front rail that would permit removal of the seat. Anyone got a pic to help me locate these nuts?

then move the seat forward and remove the rear ones. Wala, disconnect the electrical connector and out with the seat. Might take 15 minutes the first time you do it.
The rear nuts I can see plain as day. I assume they are the nuts that sit on the bolts which come up through the floor and through the seat rail. The nuts hold the rail to the floor. But I do not want to remove these until I get a positive ID on the nuts/bolts that hold the front of the seat rail down.

Sorry for being dense, but nothing really looks obvious at the front of the seat! THANKS to anyone who can help,
Ray

It's an easy procedure. Just a suggestion though - you might want to put a blanket or other protection across the sill plate to prevent any scratches from removing the seat.
