That sounds cool. One thing about the earlier ones you may not be aware of, it came as 3 pieces; a left, a right, and a piece for over the pipes....also, the vents were long thin strips of vinyl just for that area...the whole thing was kind of hoaky, and that is why it was so hard to deal with. If you can figure a way to make it no more than 2 pieces I think it would be a hit. And in different colors it is the bomb!

That would be very interesting,,especially if it was in the busted budget range!! $400 is beyond insane IMO for a piece of plastic!! I know there are development and tooling cost,,but material cost should be next to nothing!! Hopefully vinyl could actually be affordable!!There are a lot of us working class vet owners out there!!

i hear ya and i am 1 of them i am sure we should be able to do it in a 1 piece vinyl and using my corvette to get the specs and then getting the deisgners to get a file for it is the hard part i am thinking.once it is perfcted in the right size then it should fit all C5s. it should be very doable and affordable.
Just paint it because you will never remove the overlay anyway. I painted mine took about an hour and a half from start to finish and cost me 12 dollars.
