I just talked to Joe at Zip Corvette about it. Apparently even with the Bilsteins, you can still bottom out the shocks on a lowered car. I used to have a 2004 M3 with springs on stock shocks that used to bottom out ... it made the car not even worth driving.
I think I'm going to cancel and get the coilovers!
Why do you guys have to make me regret my decision of not getting coils!
I know money is hard to come by these days ( approx. $2,000.00 installed ) but I did it for safety reason. We all want the car to go fast a stop fast but it has to stick to the road to
You will LOVE them ! They are height adjustible so you can set the height on each wheel eaxtly where you want them and they have 16 damper adjustments to get the ride just right for your use. And if you are really **** you can corner balnce the car with them and the right suspension shop to help with the scales !!!
Since you completely remove the stock springs you have REAL 4 wheel independent suspension !
After everything is said a done, Pfadts installed, drive around for a week and let them settle, take measurements on how you want your car ride height at each wheel, jack up car / remove wheels adjust each Pfadt to you determined setting ( ride height ), set your dampers to 6 for now, get it 4 wheel aligned - NOW drive it up on a ramp so the car has its full weight on all 4 wheels and the car is level - disconnect your sway bar end links to see if they ( sway bars ) are neutral - they should not be bidding or twisted if neutral - reconnect end links ( you may need adjustable ? ) - DONE, now drive it like GOD wanted you to drive it

Your right on Tim, U B a smart guy. Doing this there is NO deed for scales unless you are moving weight to balance.
I canceled the order for the shocks, my bank account hates you guys ... but I'm sure once I get the coilovers installed I'll be able to forgive.
Has anyone installed these themselves?
They come with good instruction and I know people who have done it themslves but mine was a install special with the purchase of the Pfadts, $1,800.00 out the door. But you get what you pay for, I had to set the ride height to where I wanted it afterwards and re-torque the loose bolts to the right settings and add lock-tite as called out in the instructioin manual
I will be ordering a set of the coilovers this next week coming up. Do you think they will help with launching at the 1/4 mile and on the street? I was thinking I could probably just loosen up the travel whenever I know Im going to the track I guess

Whom ever you are buying the coilovers from I would ask them this question ? I know that when I adjust my Pfadts at a lower setting I get mote traction.
