IMO, yes. They stick out like a sore thumb and don't match anything else in the interior. They also don't fit the high tech look of the rest of the interior. Yuck.
And sticking chrome ***** on the HVAC to match them only makes it all look that much worse, IMO.

I initially thought they looked like a nice little add on when I saw them in the ads. but have kind of swayed to your line of thinking now that I picture them in my head.

That's just it... if you look in someone's interior and see them the first thing you think to yourself is "oh look, someone stuck some shiny ***** on a few things". They just dont fit in, and look like they were added as an afterthought.
IMO, get some nice gauge bezels instead. There are some out there that look great and really set off the instrament panel - and look like they belong there instead of an afterthought.

I think they work if you refinish the faceplates....notice all of the small buttons are chromed...that is what really balances the overall look...just doing two ***** on the radio looks amateurish, IMHO.
I don't have the radio ***** as I have an after market HU but I do have the black chrome HVAC ***** from Chip at CCA
IMHO I like the look and dont find it tacky. I replaced stock GM plastic ***** with chrome so I cant see how it can be worse

I agree the black chrome do blend in much better and the normal chrome do look much better when combined with an aftermarket interior as opposed to a stock interior.

i'd like some "brushed" finished ones to match the gauge bezels. Chrome is too much though.
True... Where could I find these? I think that I would like these or the black chrome, they seem more subtle while still being an improvement over stock.
