Magnetic Ride Shock Blocks
Does anyone have a picture or drawing of where these factory installed blocks are located on the Magnetic Ride shocks that must be removed before sale and are often forgot?

HA !! Maybe that's why my car rides like a skateboard on a cobblestone road.

Here's a drawing - not an actual photo.....

From what I remember - the stuffers were yellow and the tab that hung down was red.

Without having to crawl under the car, can you tell if they have been removed by the ride. I noticed no big difference in the ride when the ride is changed from sport to cruise outside of the car feeling like it bottoms out on some dips. It has 25k on it so it has been in the shop before for routine maint and I would have thought if the blocks were still in it they would have noticed it.

Just to be clear. This only applies to F55 MSRC cars so 03 onwards. Those of us with F45s are not affected. Mind you, my ride selector is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Thanks for the info. I have a 2003 with 13,000 miles, I purchased in June 2009. I jacked it up Saturday morning, and sure enough I found a yellow tab connected to a hard plastic bushing on all four shocks. Question now does anybody know if 13,000 miles with this still in the shock could cause any damage?

Yank 'em out, but save them as collectables. It'll ride SO much better.

I doubt it will be a problem, but it's an interesting point.
Regardless, yank them out and enjoy your new car!

I wonder how many F55 owners have the same problem

I drove it to work this morning. Amazing difference in the ride, and now I can tell the difference when I switch from touring to sport. It is too bad the original owner never got to experience the ride the way it should have been.
