I just bought a 2002 with the trunk disk changer, I loaded the magazine and went to use it. When I push the aux on the stereo you can hear the disks cycling and moving but no sound comes out? no error messages at all. if I use the single disk in the stereo its fine...what am I missing!

Give it a few minutes to cycle through all the disks. It is reading each disk and getting a disk and track count. It will do that everytime a magazine is reinserted into it. If it stops making noises and still does not work then you have a problem.
Hope that helps
Watch the icon on the head unit. If I remember correctly, it flashes during the cycling/whirring noises. It'll take a few seconds while the changer is reading the CDs.
Once that process is complete, the icon should quit flashing and it's ready to use...
AND make sure the cd's are in correctly-I seem to remember the discs go in just OPPOSITE of what most people would think (label down I seem to recall).
You might double check the audio connections are plugged in. The previous owner could have had an iPod adapter plugged in. With it cycling through the discs sounds like the power is plugged in. Just a thought........Dave
No luck, loaded and reloaded several times, waited but no sound. I'll have it looked at next service...thanks for the input!
For what it's worth, I thought the same thing when I first got my car. It takes longer than you might think. I don't know how long you waited. What does the display show? If it was disconnected, you would get nothing when you hit aux. It has to take in 12 discs one at a time. Also, as was mentioned, you need to put them in correctly. That is not a commentary on your smarts. It is not intuitive. I made that mistake too.

I waited about 10 minutes after I loaded them and all the noises had well stopped, I put the discs in both ways to make sure I had the error message displayed when incorrect so that I knew it was reading a signal, and it did. The screen shows both the disc being played and the track it's on..

I would check the connections at the CD changer and behind the radio. Sounds like something got unplugged or the other owner did some mods
