OEM CD Player - Same as in other GMs?
So It looks like I'll be putting a OEM cd player back in my car as I think it might be traded in soon. My buddy has a OEM GM/Delco cd player out of his 02 Tahoe, it looks EXACTLY the same as mine on the front... I was wondering if it'll fit into my Corvette? Is everything on the back the same?

Just a guess,,but I'd say yes,,Parts bin engineering is standard practice in the auto industry!! Why would they go through the expense of developing different unites from the same manufacturer for use in different vehicles?? I'm not much of a betting man,,but I'd put a small wager that it would work!!

Well for what its worth, the stock head unit in my 03 Z06 looks absolutely IDENTICAL to the one in my dad's 1995 GMC Sierra 1500. I've checked. I haven't seen the back of the units, but from the front I'd be willing to bet they're the same radio.

And it seems like they sell on ebay for $50-75 shipped, people here want an arm and a leg for them.
