Default 2002 exhaust tips ??

Hi

I have a coupe with the stock exhaust tips but l would love to change them to look like the Z06 Ti round tips. Where can l buy them and is it an easy swap.

Thanks

Alan

I'd put on some T.I.'s instead of just replacing the tips if it were me.

Hi
Your probably right but it's hard to justify spending $400 for the Ti and another $100 to swap them out. \
Not to mention when l sell my vette l will not get a penny for this.

Thanks

It would be a great change to change out the whole exhaust or a least the mufflers back with tips. and you would pick up a great sound.

Corsa Hot Tips for $119, they are HEAVY duty polished stainless steel (look like chrome) and come with a drill bit and screws for securing them. I have had them for many years and they still look like new (I hate loud exhausts).

First you need to use a chisel to break welds of current tips. I agree those tips look like Cadillac tips.

They DO sound better,,and perform a tiny bit better,,and are several pounds lighter. True,,you may not actually get EXTRA money for them when you sell,,,,BUT it IS a beneficial SELLING POINT that may help make the sale a bit easier,,not to mention that you get to enjoy them while you are driving the car till then!!!!! $350/400 is between 1/3 to 1/2 what new aftermarket systems go for,,so you get more fun and a selling point for a reasonable price!! IMO the sound of the stock system is pretty sucky for a performance sports car!!!
