Does anybody know the exact color of the Z06 calipers? I have an 01 Torch Red coupe and am trying to decide the best way to go [spray vs. brush] I would like to get as close a match as possible with the Z06 calipers...Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the exact color is red. Powder coating is the most durable. Though a lot of guys just spray or brush on. I think spraying would give you a better finish.
I have never hear of a paint code for the Z06 calipers, but I have a TR '01 coupe and I bought a paint kit at Advanced Auto. It was the brush on type and it came with a can of brake cleaner also. I put on three coats and that was over three years ago and they still look good. The color looks like what the Z06 looks like.
Mask off the area really really well and spray with VHT from AutoZone. Clean off the letters with a t-shirt piece streached over your index finger dipped in thinner.

All good options mentioned above. One other to consider is a product called Folia Tec - it's an epoxy based paint that you brush on. Dries hard as nails and leaves no brush marks.
I have a torch red and i used Rustoleum Sunrise Red in a can. I applied with a foam brush while the calipers were on the car. Cleaned them good with Simple Green and applied 4 light coats. That was about 5 years ago and they still look great. Some people thought that they were powder coated.
The epoxy based kit from most auto parts stores matches well and is only about 20 bucks.Add just a tad of thinner to the paint to make it far easier to apply and for a smoother finish!
If your willing to remove them. Go the powdercoated route. I also opted to have my brackets done as well. Some places will do this on an exchange basis. I can't remember who I had mine done by, but he shipped me the brackets, and rebuilt calipers (new seals and pistons), powdercoated to match my Magnetic Red paint, and I simply returned my stock parts to him, to get my core charge refunded.
As far as the color goes Torch Red is about as close to plain red as possible. Any paint that is labeled as Red should match great.
Just got mine from Mike the powder coater and they look great. Mine actually look close to the MY color of the car and Mike does a great job on them. I think his forum name is corvette pilot
