Timeless C5 strikes again
While getting my hair cut today my barber said, "sure is a nice car you have." I said 'thanks, I really like it, most people don't know that it's 13 yrs old.' She said "What? 
Really? It looks brand new." 
It sure made me feel good to have such a timeless designed car. I love it.

Had the same experience last year at Costco tire center when getting new tires mounted on my 98 Pewter. Installer asked what year my car was and I told him "11yrs old"' He did not believe so he checked the mfgr tag in driver side door jam. His comment "No way! this thing looks new.

also has to be said for the owners of a C5, or any Vette for that matter. We as a group realy take care of our Vettes. I have seldom, if ever seen a corvette that was not well cared for.
The car itself is gorgous, timeless as someone said, but to be honest I'm getting a little antzy and would love to pick up a C6 also. I didn't car much for them at first, but they have grown on me. I do have the luxury to still keep my 5 and probably always will even with the 6. Love that 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first day I drove my 97' last month a woman stopped dead in the street of our subdivision and got out of her car, she said her husband just bought a 2008 Corvette and mine looked newer and nicer then his! She was amazed it was a 13 year old car.

It's hard to imagine that the C5 with it's exceptionable styling was one of the shortist model runs. I believe Chevy could have made this model for another 5 years with plenty of sales. The C6 could have waited
