Default front splitters....question

who makes a C5 front splitter that has the metal adjustment bars that screw into the bumper like a GT car? ive been on the hunt for a bolt on splitter that isnt a ACI one or a little tab that is stuck to the bottom. Looking for a real style racing one. any ideas?

I have no idea. I know that there are a couple that are add ons to the front fascia but none that have the adjustments that you're talking about. I had thought about running them on mine but I was able to attach my stainless steel under my aci w/o the need of them. You might have to fabricate this up yourself.

Sorry I don't have better info but I know when I was looking at BPP's website on the exterior parts tab for the C6 there were pics of what you are talking about. Now I have to go look as I am curious myself.

I am on the firestation computer and can't paste the link... But go to breathless performance's website and under C6 and the rear diffuser they have a black street Z with what you are talking about but they don't seem to offer it as a product to buy. I know this doesn't help you but maybe someone will chime in. I remember seeing a black C5 all raced out with this same thing on the front recently. I think it was a splitter thread.

YES

ACP

There are several

mine is an overlay splitter. It Overlays the lower part of the front facia

and I installed a front diffuser under the car

Have 2" of ground clearance.

Car is a front not a bottom breather

The splitter sticks out 2" in front of the nose of the car.

with a 2" splitter, the rear NEED a 1" rear spoiler point up at 45* to help balance the car. Plus rake adjustments.

Down side, Not for street use. I would hit every dead thing on the road.

next are the detachable 4" front splitters. It can detach from the front facia.

Notice on both cars the radiator opening is 5" high by at least 18" wide.

the 4" spitter ,must have an extractor hood and a 72" rear wing to balance the car

Here are the list of parts, no pics
http://www.corvetteracebodies.com/wo...ice%20list.htm

Do this produce downforce? YES a LOT of downforce. Need very stiff suppension to hold the car UP at speed

I have seen yours before and like it, but I dont want an overlay over the whole bumper...I dont want to get THAT serious about it, and I def never want a rear spoiler. This is mainly for looks and the occasional 180mph blast.

a 1" spoiler at 45 degrees is all you need? I wouldnt think that little bit would do anything

This splitter won't fit a stock C5 front fascia, but it will be Carbon-fiber and fit a Tiger Shark front fascia when it's finished:

She's a beauty. My dad use to have 2 at the same time.

But back onto the topic at hand....

If you wanted to build one out of aluminum, ss, cf or any other material you could build it then have the strut brackets added.
