hi all..,.not sure were to ask this but will take a shot.,.can anyone tell me what the option was about that was named fe-3,,,am looking to know what this option was,., and how it would compare to a z-45 in terms or ride quality,.,.do not want a option that would be more suited to track life.,.,.is fe-3 a desirable option to have on a used corvette????thanks.,.,.jim

I have looked in my books, and I cannot find a mention of an FE3, I know the FE4 was introduced in 2001 on the Z06. What year are you referring to?

RPO FE3 and Z51 are essentially the same thing regarding the springs, sways and shocks. Z51 also included a power steering cooler.

thanks.,.,.looking at a 2001 coupe that the owner said has fe-3 sport suspension.,.,.i was not familiar with it...i have heard that cars with z-51 ride a little harsh/rough...any opinions on the fe-3 in 2001?????thanks,,jim

Mine is an '02 the ride is not harsh to me at all. If it is an automatic it will also have the 3.15 performance axle which is also a disireable option.

^Highly suggest rather than rely on others opinions that you take a spin in a Z-51 equipped car and decide for yourself.

I don't find the Z-51 harsh, nor the Z06 suspension which is even firmer.
