Might want to read the owners manual - it is certainly not recommended on the Vette. If need be, you can buy snow tires (Goodyear makes them) as well as all season tires from brands like Michelin.
Goodyear stopped making the runflat snow tires, only Michelin now makes a runflat all-season tire for the C5s.
There are several non-runflat radials available, Goodyear makes an All Season one that looks great and some members use.
Make sure you post pictures. It will be fun to show when you are ready to sell your garage queen. I can't even imagine getting all that salt and crap on my car. But, it takes all kinds and it is yours. Have Fun????
There was someone last winter or the winter before that posted pics on here of his...not chains but cables. And his car looked like they worked in the snow just fine.
"Kid, you could put your eye out with that thing!" If I found the necessity to put tire chains on a Corvette for any reason, I would move to a warmer clime! Bronk
It does remind me of a funny story,,when I was a kid a friends mom had an OLD Plymouth 6cyl stick. Many of the town streets were still snow packed but the street was clear,,,and UP HILL!! She had chains on. This was at night,,and when she tried to start,,she killed it several times. Finally she gunned it,,dumped the clutch,,,and lit the neighborhood up like the fourth of July!!! Seems like the same thing would happen with a vet,,traction would Still be very limited with the power available!!
