Build date and sequence number
Hey guys, can anyone tell me where/how I can find the build date and the production sequence build number of my 2002 Z06. I went to the NCM website and I can get a build sheet from there but I don't think it will tell me what I need to know. I know you can tell the sequence in the TOTAL production run but not the Z06 specfic run. I purchased the car new in Aug. 2001 so I know it will have a low production number. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The Z06s were mixed in with the general production so the only way I know to get the Z06 specific production numbers is to get a list of the complete production records for 2002 and go through it and pick out the Z06s. As far as I know nobody has done that yet. GM tried to do that for us 2004 Z16 Z06s guys but screwed it up. Someone in our group had a dealer friend and they completed the list.

What advantage does a singular Z06 production time line give you? Compare your last six digits with any other Z06 and the sequence is established. Now as for myself , I would like to know how many other Z06es were completed before that 2001 M/Y ended on the 21st of June 2001

I obtained the build date of my 02' Z06. It first fired to life on Aug. 14, 2001. Now I need to find out how mant Z06's were produced in the month of August, 2001. Can anyone tell me where to find that information?

Options list in the glove box are the same as what is listed above, AAB, MN6, U52 and so on. These are codes only and then a description of what the codes are.
Regarding Gross Vehicle Weight Rating : 1613 kg (3557 lb) That's exactly what it is GROSS meaning weight of vehicle with passengers, shouldn't exceed 3557. Hope this helps

Re Reading your question, the list of option for BillyT06 are not just a selected list, these are his list of options on his vehicle. It even tells you what color the car is. ELECTRON BLUE METALLIC with TORCH RED interior

Thanks Sponge, thats just what I needed. Now if I could pin down the sequence number I'd have everything I need. I think my car was within the first 15 Electron Blue Z06's made but I'd like to confirm that some way.

Just wonder if others are aware this max weight rating. Obviously this GVWR has a direct correlation with the G/Y F1 tires but now wonder what tire pressure this rating is based ( commonly at the tires maximum tire pressure )? I deal with GVWR all the time but usually with our 40' motorcoach where weight and tire psi are continuely under surveillance.
My 2001 Z06 has 44 options listed on the build sheet and glove box. Just curious actually.

I got my history from Sponge Vettte via pm (Thank you very much)
I then started a thread in the technical section about the service 04006 that I had...
It turns out that GM put in the software "update" for the column lock so that your car will shut down if you get the message and go over 2mph.
Even if you have the bypass module, the code can still be thrown and your computer will leave you stranded somewhere even though the bypass module didn't allow the column to lock.
Further digging has led me to the good news that with hptuners you can change various settings to negate that factory "update".
I'll post a link to the thread once I get the hptuners screen shots and steps figured out.
