I don't think you should have any problem and shouldn't have to replace the top that comes with the car you buy. According to your previous posts you are only willing to settle for a ultra-low mileage garage queen. Highly doubt your going to find any rips, tears or stains in the top on that kind of car. If there is then I would be really suspect and move on to the next.

Hi
I re4ally don't need a garage queen but l would one as pristine as available and l'm willing to pay the price! I don't have to pick up the cheapest one out there.
What l am doing is trading my 02 coupe with a Corvette Specialist plus some $ depending on the vert, mileage condition and options not to mention the color scheme.
Mine happens to be pristine even though people think it's perfect both inside and outside.
The owner of the place checked my vette out and said not a problem and that he would not have a problem moving it. Besides it's fully documented from day 1 and driven less then 2500 miles a yr.
I tried trading it here a couple of months ago and l received a load of PM's with stupid deals and the three guys who l met with their verts
were just not right. Be it with mods, high mileage and an interior that looked like he lived in it! And all three had tops that were in only good shape, not dirt as much as tears.
Worse comes to worse l will keep my coupe and drive my wifes vert when l get the urge.
