Default Part No. for Optima red top

Hi

Well, it is time to replace my AC Delco battery in my 2004 Z06.

I would like to go with Optima red top, but I will be buying this battery in the UK.

Could someone let me know the Part No. for Optima red top with TOP Terminals to fit 2004 Z06, please

Paul

Bought mine at Auto Zone. PN: 75-25 Model #: 7586DT

EDIT: just realized you're in the UK, not sure where you'll get that. If you know anyone in the USAF they may have them at US facilities at a decent cost.

Just throwing in my two cents about what I heard on the optima battery. I have a friend who works for interstate battery and says these batteries are junk. He mentioned something about having a different way to charge them if they go dead. I dont really know what this means or why he doesnt like them but it's what he does everyday.

Their website is easy to navigate. You might even be able to find distributors in the UK as well as the part number...

FYI, the topic of batteries always starts a debate. I worked for an organization that was selected to test OPTIMA batteries before they were even available for use by the general public.

We used them in a very large public safety fleet to test for heat, while a similar organization in another state tested them for cold. Not a single OPTIMA battery ever failed. They supported more electronics than any civilian Corvette ever uses. I've been using an OPTIMA in my personal vehicles ever since and never had a failure of any kind. The OPTIMA battery doesn't tolerate a high input charge. The heat will possibly damage the internals. A low input charge is all that's required unless it's completely discharged. I've researched this with both OPTIMA and the manufacturer of BATTERY TENDER PLUS by DELTRON CORPORATION.

If the vehicle isn't driven regularly then it's the usual custom to maintain the battery (any battery for that matter) with a float maintenance type charger like BATTERY TENDER PLUS or the more high tech European CTEK charger.
