I am interested in tinting my 2000 black vette. Not sure what % to go with. Any recommendation would be appreciated. Also, should i tint the front ? Tks,
I'm in the same boat as you! 35% is legal here, but I don't want to go with anything lighter than 20%. I just don't know what will look good on a Pewter Vette. As far as you, I don't know what your laws are with tints, but 20% or darker would look pretty sick on the black car.
I have 5% in back and 15% on the sides, nothing on the front cause I don't like it. I had this same tint on my last car with over 11yrs of driving on both of them, NEVER pulled over or ticketed for it. I think 35% is legal here.
I went 20% sides and back.
IMHO its dark enough to make a difference for looks and cutting glare down. But light enough that you can see in, and safely drive at night.
If I did it over again, I may go slightly darker in the rear at 15% (sides still 20%) but that would be the limit for me.
I'll try some pics from the inside to show what 20% looks like.
This was about 2pm on a partly sunny day (last Sunday).
No problems driving at night, dark enough in the day to see in slightly on the sides, and back is ok to see in due to the light from the windshield.
