I've noticed that if I don't let me car warm up to atleast 80* (Oil temp), I will get a check engine light and it'll give me a P0300 code (H and sometimes C). But it'll go away once it's all warmed up
I have a 6 speed and the only thing I notice is it's a little harder to shift until it warms up. Other than that, no.
I have started the Vette when the oil temp was at 17 degrees F and drove away, no problems.

I don't thing I've I've ever started my vette when the temperature was below freezing but she normally starts and runs great during cold weather. And yes:
That plus a little less traction too,,,makes it more fun!! Funny you mention the 80*oil temp. I've noticed ,That while it is minor and subtle,,the little piston slap that is there when cold, goes away at about 80*!! It may be that yours is making excessive noise and may be throwing code(just a guess). Mine runs fine,,I've started and driven with oil temps close to 0*,,I just take it kind of easy till oil temps warm up close to 100*!!

same here - trans stiffer until warm - also the clutch has more free play at the top until warm.
