Default Battery Tender Jr. Question?

Is there any reason why I should not connect a battery tender jr. to the battery in my '01 while it is in the car? I used to use one on my '86 that way all the time with no ill effect, I just want to make sure the same holds true for my '01. Thanks for any help or advice

I keep mine plugged in all the time while mine is sitting for long periods. No problems.

Both BATTERY TENDER PLUS/JR. and CTEK have safeguards built into the units allowing full time use. Mine is connected six months of winter.

Be aware that the JR. will charge at only .75amps as opposed to the PLUS (maybe CTEK?) at 1.25amps. So charging will take a little longer to bring the battery to full charge, then it'll "sleep".

Thanks for all the replies..I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't fry anything since the battery was still connected to the car's cables. Have a Great Weekend All

If the car is sitting at the bottom of a lake you shouldn't put a battery tender on it....that's the only reason I can come up with.

I don't leave mine connected all the time, I usually remove it from the car/bikes after the battery is fully charged. I do realize it is designed to be left connected.
