Congrats on the new ride Just make sure you check the oil, the 01 are known for oil consumption.

I had one good trip on our new '01 Z than the weather turned. Will leave the first of the month for a round trip to Florida and back. This is the greatest road car that I have ever had.
Have your chevy dealer check to make shure that the steering wheel lock mod has been completed. Check FAQ on this.

Hey,BBDRIVER, on the steering wheel lock issue, I thought it was for 2002. Will an extended warranty cover the mod? I bought my car about a year ago & had it checked out by Corvette Mike/Midwest & the tech said everything was practically brand new.

There have been what , three (3) revisions to the column lock issue. I have had three C5es and the 2001Z06 had it done before the 1st owner took possession (according to my GM Service History report)http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...ky-please.html

Oh yah, all you need is your VIN # and your local GM service dept to get your vehicle service history report . Its free.

DD56 is right, you can have your chevy dealer check the service history. If it has not been done, I would think it will be on you.
