I love the way mine sound, though with headers and no cats and a cam, they can get to be too much on long drives on the highway. But with otherwise stock exhaust, you will love them. However, how long do you honestly think you'll go without the mod bug biting again and you throw headers on? Changes the sound quite a bit. If I had to do it over again, I would go either with a stock Z06 cat back or something quiet and put on some electric cutouts for when I want to be obnoxious, the electric cutouts are selling for around $400 shipped and will give you the best of both worlds. There's a forum vendor on here selling the DMH low profile ones for the price above. Just another option for ya.

Default Love em!

The noise level depends on your year C5 and whether it has pup-cats. My 01 does have pup-cats and the sound of my Borlas are soothing at cruise speeds. I drove an 02 Z06 with Stingers and while it was louder, it was not unpleasant in any way. As was mentioned, at certain narrow ranges of engine speed, in combination with gas pedal position, there can be a slight booming, but is relatively rare.

Overall, I'd have to say that these are the best-sounding cat-backs out there.
