Why do I feel that 20K is too much?! I was thinking 18K max.
This forum is notorious for low balling. The best advice you got was whats it worth to you. Your in the neighborhood very few people wont negotiate a little some a lot. See what a new C6 runs you. This is practically new.
$21K is reasonable for near new vette thats 8 years old. He!!, 2 years ago I bought a 89 vert with 22k on the clock for $10.5 for the wife and am still satisfied with the deal. IMHO KBB only applies to DD's or vettes driven as DD's
IMO, it's not the deal of the century but it isn't unreasonable. The car is worth what the market says it is. I'd think being in Hawaii would limit the number of buyers and sellers. That works for and against you. I don't think anyone would laugh if you paid $22.5k but it can't hurt to offer lower. In September, I paid $21k for a black '03 coupe with 20k miles if that helps.
In July I bought the same car, 2002 Electron blue, 6 speed, non adjustable suspension, HUD, and both tops, for $18.5K. But mine had 60K, and a couple of small issues, steering sensor needed to be replaced, needed a good wax job, a little curb rash on the wheels. I'd say that one would be worth $20-$21K.
That being said, I'd pay the $22K if it is absolutly perfect and you love everything about it. If you wanted an auto and it's a manual, I'd pass.
i just bought an 2001 for 22.500 off of the fourm with 16.xxx miles and i feel very good about my purchase,i wanted an almost new condition car not a dd,that is what i paid a little extra for and that is what i got,a clean low mile garage queen, not a 40 or 50 thousand mile little mark here little dent there car, some guys don't mind little imperfections and look for the low price deal,i wanted MINT.just my opinion
I spent a little more than I wanted to when I bought my 01 Vert last year but the car is pretty much perfect, and had everything I wanted fully loaded, triple black, Z51 6spd and I don't regret it at all. Plus the blue is not an easy color to find. I say 20k you won't regret it.
I really appreciate the advice guys. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first asked that you guys would pay for this car and I must say I'm quite surprised. I intend to put 20 on the table but honestly if she's not willing to budge then I'm perfectly content to pay what she is asking. The thing looks absolutely stunning and sounds like a brand new car right off the showroom floor. I always thought "barn" car only existed on the mainland but I guess we have a few hiding around as well.

If she's a forum member, you just told her you'd give asking price. Even so, sounds like the right deal for you. Buy it and enjoy.
If she looks like an 11k mile car then I think its a pretty good deal. That being said it won't hurt to offer a bit less and see if you can save a few bucks!!
[QUOTE=srs244;1573215441]i certainly don't mean to be disrespectful to all who have provided their opinions here ... the car is worth EXACTLY what it worth to you. how much is your time worth??
I've had my Vette for less than a week, and watched what's out there for almost a year. Fortunately I have a couple of friends in the car business who shared the black book, the pulse of the local demand and auction prices. The best advice I got was that you can get a range of value with KBB and NADA but it ultimately 'fair' comes down to making a list of must-haves and what you're willing to pay for that car when you find it.
A premium car such as the one you are describing is worth a little more money. You would be getting an awesome like new car for around 20k! Compared to new car prices for a boring sedan or suv...what a deal!!!! Buy it and have fun!!
