If you driving behind pace car than forget it, they dont go over 85-90 MPH, and may be may be last lap at the last second. dont have experience at talladega but i did at Atlanta motorspeedway, man i was desparate to punch, but in my last lap i could not resist....blasted 117 mph thats all i could do last sec. But it was great experience though.

True at Talladega as well, if you notice in my pic I was the first position behind the pace car, every time I tried to fall back he came right back with me. I got up to about 120mph once or twice. The guys behind me were hauling *** though. I gotta be honest though, it was scary as hell at the start, I thought it was going to all like hey look at me I'm on Talladega woo hoo, I had serious tunnel vision. The track doesn't seem as big as it does on tv, those NASCAR dudes are crazy as hell. It was awesome though, I'm doing it again..

Man, that would just be awesome! I might actually try to make the trip from IL down there. I go to the fall race every year, and Talladega is one of my favorite places.

How much does it cost?

As long as you're not directly behind the pace car you should be all right.

It is slow, one guy in a Mercedees only got up to 161. That sucked!!!

You guys need to realize that ANY speed on this track is AWESOME!!!

I have driven at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It is fun. I have driven at Nashville. It is fun. I have driven at Lowe's. It is fun. Talladega is another world!

You have to go at least 90 to keep your car from turning left too much. You are running through the corner with your steering wheel turned to th right!!! Once you get up to about 120, the car will hold it's line with NO input to the wheel. Imagine that! 120 miles per hour in turn 3 and you don't even have to touch the wheel until you exit turn 4!!!

The pace vehicles will be running about 85 to 90. 15 cars wil lbe stretched out over 2 miles of track. You will be on the track about 10 minutes per session. If you are not stupid, you can have a blast. Stupidity will be awarded with an invitation to leave.

I have been on the track in a 2008 Sprint Cup car, a 2009 Dodge Charger Pace Car, a Chevrolet 15 passenger van, a 2007 Z06, my 2000 C5 convertible with the top up and down, and my 1972 Big Block Vette. I an tell you it is a blast.
