just got rid of my 88 toyota supra turbo that i've had since i was a teenager........ never liked american cars till now. i got that supra up to 512 RWHP (stock is 240 engine HP)... but let me tell you the corvette i have now stock is so much nicer then my supra ever was. these cars are just designed to be faster. its much smoother in high speeds, weight is less, and trying to double or triple the HP of a foreign car is a nightmare, will cost you a fortune and you'll always be breaking something because those components aren't designed to have 2-3 times the HP thrown at them.
I always used to make fun of corvettes saying i could eat a corvette on the highway in my supra, etc... but the fact is the corvette stock is a reliable car and can easily be upgraded ... where as you take a foreign 4cyl or 6cyl and try to make 500+ hp and you'll be breaking **** all the time, having electrical problems and just a big headache.
If I had to start all over again as a teenager I wish I had a corvette.
