corvette vs. foreign
post pictures, videos, dyno sheets, and 1/8 miles times, and 1/4 mile times but plz only n/a engines only cause im old fashion and want to show them pure engine power will still beat their little twin turbos.

Currently I have a 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo with 400BHP/375ftlbs, and have owned many other imports. Irregardless you just can't beat the feel and sound of an LS1 in a 3100lb car. The vette beats any car i've ever owned.
Remember this and I know it may seem hard to do when all your friends are following a different path but, do what YOU want. Personally, I don;t like to follow the path everyone else takes. Be different from your friends. Own a car that will show theirs up because remember, even if their Honda Civic has 500WHP, it is still a Honda.
so far i have ported intake, but she is getting a huge cam/150shot and heads so ill be good for at least 450-550hp
i love my 300zx as much as i love my vette, and ill say this, watch out for some of those "ricers" by which u mean imports, because ik some that will shove a boot up your *** because they rape you

I have a stock 2002 Z06 and a 2001 convertible with a cam and tune that puts out 415 RWHP / 385 Torque. My son has a 1995 CIVIC with a JDM motor swap and turbo kit just like in the video and that little 4 banger will kick my a$$ every time so pick the one that you like the most and go for it!!
Final note, just be safe whatever you do, either car with 400 - 500 RWHP is a lot to handle and can easily get away from you so get plenty of seat time AT THE TRACK!!

More importantly, there's a bigger issue at hand. A Civic was not designed to go fast. I don't care if they say the Si is "faster" than the other Hondas. It's not designed to go fast. Even if you have a slow Corvette, it's still designed to go fast, so the platform is a BETTER platform to start with. Civics only have one benefit - a cheaper upfront cost. But no Civic on a budget is going to drive over 150MPH with stability or even for a long stretch. It costs a lot of money to transform a Civic into a road race car. Specifically, something along the lines of a Corvette.
Corvettes were designed with long-term speed in mind. The Z06 is designed to travel at 175MPH for 30min (until the gas tank is empty). It's a car that's incredibly stable at high speed due to its rigid chassis and long wheel-base. Aerodynamically, it's a better choice for high speed travel than a Honda Civic. And it's wider stance keeps it's center of gravity lower than a Civic. The suspension was designed for performance driving, unlike the Civic's suspension that was designed to go to the store, work and home in normal driving conditions.
You start with a good platform and you get more bang for your buck down the road.
BTW, a bone stock C5Z06 will generally demolish any "rice car" your friends can come up with both street and strip. Beware, your friends may turn on you when they get jealous.

And my guess is...if you asked the guy w/ the 500hp honda which he would rather have, corvette or his 500hp honda...he would say corvette. Maybe thats just me though. Just remember, even if you lose, you still own the better car.
