Im about to do mine in a week or so. Just do it yourself and have some fun.
Did mine over the weekend, it wasn't very much fun.
The clutch is very easy to do yourself. Getting the torque tube attached to the front was the challenge for us.
A factory shop manual is very helpful. The bolts on the pressure plate and flywheel need to be torqued to a specific lb. and in a specific order. Failure to do so will lead to vibration.
While you're at it, may as well put in a speed bleeder and definitely a new pilot bearing. In fact, buy 2 pilot bearings as they're about $12 each and you have one in case you tear one up installing it.
Might also be a good idea to get a thicker tunnel plate.
A local late model GM performance/LSx shop here is charging me $675 to swap in a LS7 clutch kit/slave/remote bleeder for my 02 Z06 right now actually, dropped it off today/picking up tomorrow. Seems a little steep but I know they do great work usually and certainly know what they're doing w/ Vettes...

Make sure they put a new pilot bearing in. That little $12 part can cause rattling when the clutch is not pressed in.
